FORGOTTEN HERO HONORED
WITH WORLD CITIZEN AWARD

The Association of World Citizens presented a special World Citizen Award to Colonel Stanislav Petrov on May 21, 2004. The award ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Moscow News, Russia's leading liberal newspaper.

This event received worldwide coverage in major media organizations such as the New York Times, Guardian Limited, Washington Post, USA Today, CBS, MSNBC, India Express and over 50 news sources at last count. Below is one news story. More to come...

Petrov Fund: We have received messages from people who want to contribute money to Colonel Petrov, and he is certainly in need of our help. For this purpose we have established a special fund to help the colonel. To contribute make checks out to "World Citizens Foundation" (exact same organization as Association of World Citizens, but with non-profit status).

All contributors will receive a receipt and our IRS number to use for income tax purposes. All contributions are tax deductible.
