FORGOTTEN HERO HONORED WITH WORLD CITIZEN AWARD The Association of World Citizens presented a special World Citizen Award to Colonel Stanislav Petrov on May 21, 2004. The award ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Moscow News, Russia's leading liberal newspaper. This event received worldwide coverage in major media organizations such as the New York Times, Guardian Limited, Washington Post, USA Today, CBS, MSNBC, India Express and over 50 news sources at last count.
